AQUARIUM LAYOUT PLANNER · A thoughtful layout starts here.
Free Aquarium Layout Planner
Plan your aquascape before the first drop. Arrange rocks, wood, plants and equipment in a tank sized to your space.
↔ Drag objects to move them. Top view controls depth; front view controls elevation.
Geometric estimates only. Water excludes the sloped substrate but not decoration displacement; glass thickness is not deducted. Use internal tank measurements.
Ready to design.

Aquascaping layout guide
Start with the tank’s internal length, depth, and height.
↗02Tank volume & substrate
Gross litres = length × depth × height ÷ 1,000 for measurements in centimetres.
↗03Planting zones & equipment
Place tall symbolic plants in the background and smaller patches near the front to explore depth.
↗How it works
Start with the tank’s internal length, depth, and height. Choose a starter layout, then add a small number of larger elements before filling the gaps. Keep open space so the structure is easy to read.
Use the front view to compare height and silhouette. Use the top view to check footprints, depth and access. Objects may overlap deliberately; the planner does not detect collisions, simulate structural stability, or show a true 3D rendering. Shapes are generic stand-ins, not exact products.
